Gina Zanon

Gina Zanon, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW) was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan until she relocated to the south in 2016. She made Bowling Green home in 2017 and has enjoyed serving her community ever since.


She currently practices as an adult, teen, and couples’ therapist for K & G Counseling. Gina completed her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Northern Michigan University in 2011. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College in 2018. Gina completed 1000 hours of graduate internship hours at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute and the Adult Crisis Unit.


She has over 10 years of experience in the Social Work field, working in collaboration with multiple agencies and community resources while providing services and advocating for her clients' needs.

Gina believes that building trust in relationships is essential for fostering growth and healing. She approaches therapy as a collaborative journey, prioritizing open and honest communication, where individuals feel empowered to express their thoughts, emotions, and vulnerabilities without fear of judgment. Together, she and her clients work towards building resilience and fulfillment, fostering a sense of security, connection, and emotional intimacy in the therapeutic journey.


Gina’s primary therapeutic approaches include Strength-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and multiple types of expressive therapy.
